1. Preliminary I send you warm greets in Ukraine...Summer is ending and autumn is comming...what do you feel about seasons? Do you prefer any of it?

Greetings.
Due to my business and delay with answers, winter is already here. I like it, but winter of this and (as it seems to be so) next years lost all its charms, comparing to past years. Anyway it is much better, than summer with all these stupid people, wandering everywhere.

2. It is for us difficult to learn something about Lutomysl, can you tell us foreshorten something about history of band, rise of band, some critical moments...I don´t like this questions, but here I find it suitable.

My activity began in 2001 a.y.p.s. with „Awakening...“- first album of PROFANE SOLITUDE. Next year under this name I’ve recorded one more album, called „Emptiness“. Both of these albums where released under one name „Awakening in Emptiness“ only at the begininng of this year.
First album under „LUTOMYSL“ monkier – „The Challenge“ was recorded in same year and after this, each year I’m recording by one album: „Winter of humanity“ (2003 a.y.p.s.), „I(‚)MQUI(nt)Ess/cENCE“ (2004 a.y.p.s.), „Decadence“ (2005 a.y.p.s.), „Catharsis“ (2006 a.y.p.s.).
Critical moments? LUTOMYSL is Creation of myself only and as I firmly steping on my Path, so there can’t be any „critical moments“.

3. I must tell you, that I like your new album Catharsis – I mean, that this album is the best of your all discography and it stays on aggressiver conception – it´s very good. And I find your music here more rounded. Is there any idea, which connect whole album or is each song spontaneous and without concept spirit?

Every album of LUTOMYSL (except two last - they are united by common ideas) has its own, unque conception, which is expressed in its Music, Lyrics and sound, so there can’t be „worst“ or „best“ albums – they are simply different.
„Catharsis“ is second part of triology, which began with „Decadence“ album. The Falling proceeds... Almost nothing left of past – all dies in Flames... Slowly, painfully, but irreversibly. More and more stronger awareness of myself, as a Bearer of a Gleam... His Gleam. Scorn, Hatred, Haughtiness towards surrounding. Honestly, it’s hard for me to talk about this… If you really want to try to understand the essence of my Art, it would be better to read the Poetry and listen to the Music, but not to my or anyone talks about it. Although I think it’s not possible anyway. At least fully.

4. I´m little sorry of efficiency of each album – one is great, other average...so, I´m curious, what reactions is new album given? Maybe you don´t interested about it, but you must something noted...And what is the biggest difference between „Catharsis“ and last albums?

I haven’t heard bad reviews for “Catharsis”, but I don’t think, that it happens due to general confession of this album. Probably, the thing is in indifference of those, who disliked it. LUTOMYSL isn’t famous name, so it isn’t interesting to talk shit about it now. Biggest difference? In Poetry...



5. Do you always recorded album with Amorth private or in the studio? Is this cooperation for run of the band so much important? If there were no other possibility, can you envision Lutomysl with programmed drums?

First of all, I don’t record albums with Amorth always. He played on „Decadence“ only, other albums were recorded with programmed drums, so I easily can not only imagine LUTOMYSL with them, but also listen to it. So as you.
Seriously, cooperation with other people is not so important for my Activity. It can slow some things, but doesn’t stop.

6. In your lyrics we can see words like „intolerance“ or enough text, which advert to precedence or power of individual. If you take a think of your inspiration over writting the lyrics, where you „search“ themes? In yourself, in today´s world,...? Do you find today´s world and people worthy despite?

I can’t say exactly. Poetry of LUTOMYSL is Burning Ashes of my inner Flame. I often don’t remember myself in moment of writing Lyrics. It goes straight from the Heart and I don’t think, that today‘s or „any day’s” world can inspire it even on few lines… Disgust for it? Maybe, but not as main source.

7. What about language presentation in the future? Will you prefer english language or will you abide by your native language?

Lyrics will appear on the language it was written. With all respect to Ukrainian, I think, that Russian will prevail, ’cause it is the language, I think on, so I can express myself more widely using it.

8. You built your own music manuscript already from beginning (from era of „Profane Solitude“...by the way, why the title was changed?), thouht this for many people Lutomysl only with album „Catharsis“ withdrawed from own shade. Do you plan to continue in „fight“ against fragility, forbearance, faith,...in this style? Because just this black metal, this „Jet black metal art“ I find as TRUE!

„Lutomysl“ reflects the essence of my Art better, than „Profane Solitude“ and I’m not going to keep the old name if there is new, better ones, even in the case, if old have nothing in common with present, but become a well-known trade-mark, like many does.
Art can’t be planned. Time will show.

9. I suppose Lutomysl don´t make live performance...? This possibility never allure you?

Yes, you are right.
I like some live shows, but can’t imagine myself standing on the stage.

10. I suppose, that you make booklet´s themes with your own. According to what you choose, what will be the cover of album? Do you have any assigned standards od it depends on idea of album or on something else?

According to my feeling. I haven’t any standarts, all depends of album’s Spirit, which should be reflected by cover fully.

11. Ukraine is famous for its folk, cheerful records and pure form of black metal steps back into secrecy, I mean. I point to your project „Kosa“, which should present music similar „Catharsis“. Could you reveal us something about it? For when you plan first album? Will you continue in regular publishing albums with Lutomysl?

I repeat again, that kosa IS NOT a LUTOMYSL project and I have nothing in common with it.


12. Do you regard progress of UG scene in Ukraine or Russia? Are there any new bands, which assumed you and you can us recommend? Or on the contrary, which from bands totally failed you, heh...? What about you and christianity? I´m intrested on your opinion on religion generally...

I’m not interested in progress or regress of any scene, so can’t be your guide in this bog, called “ex-USSR UG scene”.
christianity? Can rotting corpse of christ, whose worms continue to devour the last of humans brains for more than two thousand years cause some more feelings, except Scorn or disgust? I don’t think so. My opinion towards religion is far from being positive, True Spirituality lies outside boundaries of any kind of mass-worshiping.

13. Do you like life in Ukraine? Are you satistied with statute of your country and with rule there?

No, I don‘t. Stupid rulers – stupid laws, money is above all, all politics and economics are built on deception. By the way, I don’t think, that situation in other countries is much more differ, than here and hate my moaning countrymen.

14. Which country do you like to visit? Eventually if some country, which you visited, assumes you so much...

Mainly, Scandinavian countries and/or Island. Why? Banally, because of great nature there.
I hadn’t traveled too much, so can’t answer the second part of your question.

15. What about literature? Have you got any favourite autor? Already long time is in practise cinematize best-sellers...Which film along book´s theme, which you read, assumes you?

I like reading. Some time ago, I was spending much time on it, but now, due to great business, unfortunately haven’t possibility to continue that. I don’t think, that books have any influence on my Art and that’s why seeing no reason to talk about my preferences in literature on these pages.
