1. Hails to land of halucinations and morbid drugged visions! So, what‘s new in your camp? Can you tell us a little bit about Blacklodge‘s history?

The band has been created in 1998 from the ashes of a local black metal band called Faust (94/98). We are playing Black Metal with industrial and electronic samples, and we deal with the presence of SataN in our contemporary world.

2. Last year, you‘ve released your actual album, which is called „Solarcult“. What is the meaning of this idiom in relation to album? Do you want to tell anything special by your work?

The Solar Kult is the worshipping of the Sun energy as a manifestation of Lucifer in our world. The Sun being the symbol of the all seeing eye of Lucifer in search for the forbidden knowledge. And the sun energy, the nuclear power, is the faustian achievement of the arrogance of science leading to a coming apocalypse.

3. What do you think are the main differencies between „Login:SataN“ and „Solarcult“? Are the new Blacklodge more mellow that before?

First difference is the concept, the obviously the quality of the production. However I don't think we can say the latest album is more mellow ! The rawness of the first album caused by the low quality of its production has been replaced by a far more aggressive presence and heavier sound.

4. How did your fans accept this album? Were they satisfied with it? Dif you get a lot of positive reactions?

Our public understood the evolution of the band and got amazed by the progress we made in the production of our songs. This album permitted us to get real credibility in the black metal scene core.

5. You‘re using a lot of interesting samples and sounds. Where do you get them? Are you usualy going into town to ìhuntì them with dictaphone?

I give myself no limits when I search samples for my music. It can indeed comes from very various and unexpected grounds.

6. Your music is a lot invented by hard electronic music genres like Tekkno, Hard Techno Etc. Do you usualy listen to them? Do you sometimes go to a technoparty?

I'm listening to extreme electronics as well indeed. I have no problem going to a technoparty as long as the music is announced to be good and if I am with my crew to avoid silly people.


7. Your lyrics are strongly inspired by drugs, especialy halucinogens. Do you sometimes take them? Have any favourites?

In the band we have obviously a strong experience of those psychoactive substances. Our favorite psychodelic substance is LSD. In the band we have different habits : I take my time between trips to analyse my visions, when another one in the band takes it almost daily.

8. A lot of people things, that taking drugs is the straight way towards death or total destruction of man‘s personality? What is your opinion?

Drugs are a very risky tool to challenge death and self destruction indeed. But it's also a high speed catalyst for knowledge giving experiences beyond the limits of usual human senses. It's mainly a question of will, drugs just crush you fast if you are weak.

9. There are a lot of nazis in black metal scene, did you ever get problems of them, because of your lyrics? What do you think about NSBM?

I just get problems with silly people, being nazis or not.

10. You plays a very hard music, which combinates extreme metal with extreme electronic music. What does extremity mean for you?

I would say, when soft music is the ecstasy of delicateness, extreme music is the delicateness of ecstasy.

11. How do you see the future of mankind?

Depends how far I check. For the next decades, in pain and extinguishing. The Great Opus of the Prince of this World coming to an end.

12. So, and how do you see the future of Blacklodge?

Depends how far I check. For the next years, fighting to evolve and get as closer as we can to the mastering of our music.
