1. Hells, Salutes to Enthroned and I am bowing before your new opus.

2. How did the recording of Tetra Karcist proceeded? Was it somehow unique? Where and how long were you recording the new album?

Everything went fine, the recording was certainly “unique” due to the fact that this is Enthroned’s first album within its new concept and objectives, also with the new line-up which is definitely the best we ever had on a spiritual level at least! It was recorded in Belgium and the mixing process took place in Berlin all in all for one month.

3. I am asking about the uniqueness because Tetra Karcist is full of unique moments. Who came with the idea to create such a heavy sound which naturally moves Enthroned to more melodic areas and for some even to less-black metal areas?

I think “Tetra Karcist” is not less BM than what we did before, I even think it’s the darkest release we did so far and sounds more BM than we ever did. But in a way it’s not a matter to discuss as Enthroned always was BM by its concept and devotion, at least from my side!
There was no plan made in advance to create such or such track ina special way, all came through our feelings and gave birth the the album you can hear today.

4. Was it difficult to find a suiting sound? During listening to album I especially favourited the drum´s sound which are produced really extraordinary.

Harris Johns (producer) knows us for a while now and we had a talk about the concept of the album and our personal belief and so on, and he came up with exactly what we had in mind, as simple as that! Which I think is a great quality coming from a sound engineer.


5. Another novelty is your new musical appearence. Your music sounds in a really profesional and modern way. Was that an intention or it just came out from your diligence? It´s natural that every musician´s visions are changing after some time and he wants to progress. Not everyone accept this but I accept this unambiguously.

I don’t think there’s anything more “modern” in the new album, except perhaps if you’re referring to the fact that the name of the band was also written in a more common font on the front cover, but we still use our logo and stuff… every details of the artwork and outlooks are perhaps not seen so often in the BM but there absolutely nothing modern! Regarding the appearances on other levels, the band has probably more credibility with the new line up than ever before due to the fact that the band is now constituted with members who are 100% dedicated to what we do and to the secrets of the other realms.

6. Is there some interesting concept behind your´s novelty? What are the individual songs dealing with? Do they hold to some compact story or each song has its own ideas?

Enthroned comes back in a different shape, morphing into a different shape. This morphing occurred to re-establish the original goal and purpose of this band as a satanic being.Therefore, we decided to focus on what was the most important matter for us: our belief.
This being said once and for all, let me explain you why “Tetra Karcist”…Certainly, going back centuries ago and regarding a certain book, a powerful entity, Jehovah, punished mankind for his disobedience at Babel by confusing their language (supposed to be a mix of Latin, Enochian and Ancient Greek) and brought into existence additional languages. After the Flood, Jehovah had instructed man to be fruitful and multiply, and fill the Earth . At Babel, however, humanity rebelled against God’s will, saying, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth” (Genesis 11:4).
What’s more, the descendants of Noah at Babel also were guilty of attempting to “make a name” for themselves . Thus, God chose to “confuse their language” that they might be “scattered...over the face of all the earth”.
Those with the gift of tongues were to speak “in turn”, and if no interpreter was present they were to “keep silent in the church”.
Those with the gift of prophecy were to “prophecy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged”, those were named the “Karcists” or summoners.
Now, let’s be objective, the power lies underneath one veil and is not divided within ten or twenty or even more believes, if occult power there is, it shall be everywhere same goes for their entities and the one who state that Kali for example is a Goddess which has no power outside Hinduism is a fool.
In Greece for example, The Four (translated in Latin by Tetra) Summoners (originally used in some ancient dogma to describe the Cardinal Oracle (four Magus invoking the power of the utter gods from the four cardinal points, increasing the power of their invocations and possibilities of the entity which was summoned).

7. Are you trying to tell or refer about something through your lyrics or you are just thinking or speculating about something? Everyone are writing the lyrics in their own way.

I know what I am talking about, I will never write about such important matters if I do not live them day by day. The concept of “Tetra Karcist” is a part of me, of whom I am and of what surround our world and the message will be crystal clear for people who are involved as much as I am or even more, when they will reach their eyes! The awakening is getting near!

8. Because of versatility of the songs I think that you are able to compose longer songs but most of the songs are about 4minutes long. You personally like longer or shorter songs?

I don’t care! I like a song when it’s completed the way it should be may it take 10 minutes or 2. It depends what the story is behind the track as well. I prefer to focus on the quality of a song than on it’s length.

9. You´re bursting with great cover arts and likewise visual presentation. Do you think that it is somekind of mandatory in nowadays black metal? Not just to stand in the underground sewer but to underlay your own music...Just as Enthroned are doing it.

Enthroned do not do that!
The visual of “Tetra Karcist” is intimately linked with it’s concept, we choose someone who can provide quality work, as we wanted to respectful towards the forces we invoked through this album and not in a “stand out” or “marketing” level at all. Some label are yes putting privilege on beautiful and nice colored artworks to sell more CD’s and avoid cheap copies indeed, but we don’t fall into that trap, we remain the masters of our own art!

10. What about the cooperation between the Antaeus and Enthroned? Can we talk about some regressive reflex? MkM vociferated with you on the new album on you wrote the lyrics for the Antaeus Blood libels album. How did it happen? Are you a good friends? Are you thinking about some more cooperations?

Me and MkM are long time friends and we know each others pretty well.
I wrote some lyrics for AntaeuS gave them to MkM and he loved them so it was his.
I asked him to put a bit of himself in our new album because I like to share some intense experiences with people I like and especially because him and me, also the other members of Enthroned have a very similar point of view on several things which makes our bound stronger.


11. I can´t get around the troubling question about the departure of Lord Sabathan. What happened, Why Sabathan leaved the band? Were there some problems? I dont want to snuff too much but I think that it is not simple for the band after the departure of so important band member.

It is way more simple since we kicked him out, as he was doing nothing at all for the last ten years, he was more a weight than anything else, and on top of that he shown the true side of himself these last two years by talking more about profits, money etc… than the most important things when you play in a band like this. I don’t wanna spent too much time talking about him, and how he betrayed us anymore, all you have to know is that he didn’t have his place in Enthroned anymore nor in our friendship apparently!

12. You are about to tour with Gorgoroth and Arkhon Infaustus. You are looking forward to this am I right? All these bands are renowned satanic groups so you will relate not only about music. Are you preparing some special stage performance? Well... Enthroned´s live gigs must be a really intense experience, are you trying to set up some surprises for the fans? I am also interested if you will visit Czech republic?

We will perform a pure occult gathering each nights of the tour, our concerts are not only metal shows for us ! But as well, a tribute and a devotion to the forces lying behind the veil that blinded humanity for centuries. The new Enthroned is way more direct and raw live now than in the past, as we go directly to the point.

13. Yet another question about live performances....How are you going to share the live vocal duties?

We are three vocalist, me doing lead vocals so I guess it works pretty well this way.
